Art Bell now an ex-pat

According to several reliable sources, artie is now living in the Philippines, and has burned his bridges behind him. He says he is NEVER returning to the US. (The ‘exodus’ some have referred to on air.)

He sold his ‘compound’ to Tom in Arizona, who will probably be moving in this next week, and is recruiting help for the move.

artie GAVE his guesthouse to Karen (now the owner of KNYE), and the station controls which were moved there last week. All property rights were also given to Karen on the big sign for KNYE on highway 160, as with the land it sits on, it is worth a huge chunk of money for advertising rights, as no one can buy land anymore to put up signs for advertising.

He gave away one car (not to me!), and sold another to a ‘good friend’.

And to show what kind of man he is, he had all his cats put down. (Now WHAT vet would put down healthy animals? That person should be reported to the Nevada authorities.) It is said that his condominium in Manila does not allow pets… (hmmm, kinda like Ramona, huh?)

And to show what kind of man he is, he did not even say ‘good bye’ to friends he’s had for years. (Nor did he drop a hefty amount into my PayPal account to help with uncovered medical expenses!)

Good riddance! With any luck, the other NAMBPIGs will join him there.

Perhaps now, without artie’s constant threats of lawsuits, complaints to the FCC, and other strong arm tactics, SWL will be ‘fun’, again. With no more ‘late night’ EliteHams, maybe early evening will see more of w6wbj, wb6bnq, k4ze, k6txh, n7js, w7lw, and other interesting HAMS.

Artie’s w6obb Grief

Today marks the second year since Ramona Bell passed.

Just yesterday I had a discussion with someone about the ‘degree’ of negligence artie might have been responsible for in the death of Ramona Bell.

Two years and the ‘doubts’ are still out there. It was even mentioned that no one had seen a copy of Ramona’s autopsy. (You know, there is no ‘statute of limitation on ‘murder’; I wonder if the same is also true of ‘negligent homicide’?)

Wonder if artie took Airyn & Asia to the gravesite today…

1) What did artie DO to Steve recently to bring on this ‘attack’? Or vice versa?

3) Don’t you wonder what is going on in the ‘background’; the phone calls, email, messenger threats, etc?

I have ‘heard’ that artie is ‘livid’ about this stuff being posted on Radio Wingnuts. That may or may not be true. NOW it is also posted on The HamFanz Grudge Report (in case Radio Wingnuts should disappear). Artie can now have something else to be ‘livid’ about! But hey, if it is out there...

Art Bell w6obb, Retires Again

Last night on Coast-to-Coast AM, artie announced his immediate retirement from the popular radio program. I am not sure that anyone actually knows how many times he has done this now, I have certainly lost track.

Yep, he is retiring EXCEPT for ‘fill-in’ shows and ‘specials’ he may be called on to do. (Now I ask, is that retirement?)

This time, his STATED reasons for retiring were (paraphrasing here):
- he has ‘found’ love.
(uhhh, love is NOT turned off and on like a faucet)
- he wants to spend whatever time left that God grants him, with Airyn and Asia
(in other words to keep Airyn on her knees, and I don’t mean in prayer, artie needs to placate her with travel and other un-boring things)
- he is eligible for Social Security
(someone out there needs to find out what Airyn and Asia will be eligible for Social Security wise, as a wife and child)

However, reading between artie’s lines, I hear:
- they needed the medical insurance, but now that the child has been born
- the rumors of LOW weekend ratings may well have been true
- perhaps he proved more of an embarrassment and liability then an asset to Premier Radio
- perhaps artie was ‘asked’ to retire
- artie has lost his Coast-to-Coast AM ‘touch’, for proof, just listen to a couple of his old shows and compare them to current shows. Recent shows sound forced, and seem scripted
- Airyn is leading him around by the uhhh, nose
- artie is in dire need of an antidepressant

While listening to his ‘announcement’ of his ‘immediate retirement from the week end Coast-to -Coast AM, I was struck by a couple of things. First off, I did predict this ‘ending’ weeks ago. Secondly, his reasons were all about HIM. Indeed, in any of his retirements, he did not consider the results of his actions on anyone but HIMSELF. I cannot remember that he ever a voiced a thought about his fans, the show, or its producers or owners, only what artie wanted.

Also during this announcement, artie claims to have a ‘small circle of close friends’. (Are three people a ‘circle’ and do relatives, even if only by marriage, count?) I cannot help but wonder who those would be, (especially if you eliminate those wishing to spend his money) as many of the people who once called him friend are not only disgusted, but also done with him.

But, cheer up folks, all is not lost! Maybe Airyn will enjoy traveling her new country in the death mobile RV! (She does not seem to mind living in Ramona’s house, on Ramona’s furniture, or stepping into Ramona’s life. How very, very sad for her; expect more babies and perhaps a nervous break down for her within years.)

Then too, maybe artie and the other members of the new ‘elite’ group that seems to be forming will show up on 3.720 with more regularity to enlighten and entertain.

As of today, Big Ben is following ‘the yellow brick road’ to the Philippines in search of a sweet-young-thing bride. He is on the plane for the trip half way around the world right now.

Ben was instructed, or enticed into this quest by the ‘munchkin’ better known as the ‘Lord of the Loop’’ cult leader, Art Bell w6obb – who it is said, also paid for Ben’s trip! artie made his trip down this same road just over a year ago, and has ‘publicized’ it in many ways and places.

Big Ben is going to be gone for three weeks. In the Philippines, he plans to meet, face-to-face, Cherry, (NOT a Ruiz), and perhaps marry. Ben was introduced to Cherry who was a classmate of Airyn Ruiz Bell’s, via computer, by Airyn, no doubt at the behest of artie. (Pimps all?)

The fact that Cherry was a ‘class mate’ of Airyn Ruiz Bell, means that she is also very young. In fact, on March 24, 2007, I received a ‘message’, in a very public place, on one of my sites from Ben’s adult daughter, Liz. I entered into a short email dialog with her, to confirm her identity. In her publicly posted message (which, for the sake of all involved, I immediately deleted), she stated:

“...You know I didn't know my dad growing up. Not really anyhow. I knew who he was, but I only seen him a few handful of times. Not his fault just worked out that way. I know he is marrying the young woman from the Philippines. I am not crazy about the idea myself. For goodness sakes she is a little younger than I, but he did ask if it was alright with me and I said yes. He said he would not marry her if I wasn't ok with it and I am. Do you know why? I am ok with it because they are both adults, it is what will make them both happy...”

Ben Gardner is just another old geezer who blew his chances at relationships when he had them, and is now seeking the impossible. Ben, and others, are trying to evade sleeping in the bed they made so many years ago. In their current quest for Lust & Power, they are hurting family members all over again. (Too bad we have not heard publicly from Ramona Bell’s family nor arties adult son or mom regarding these events.)

I must admit that I do not feel the same about Ben’s Quest on the ‘Yellow Brick Road’ as I did about Carl kb5fjx, and artie. Carl was pimping artie for money, the cost of the trip. Artie was replacing a wife, as one would replace a worn rug, only faster. Ben is doing none of these things, though he IS following artie’s lead, as usual.

I sadly predict much pain and ultimately, disaster in all three of these marriages, for all involved. It will be like watching the proverbial car wreck (many a wreck on that Yellow Brick Road!) only in slow motion, and coming from three directions. My ‘Prognostications’ (“To predict according to present indications or signs; foretell. –Houghton Mifflin) have been accurate. It is not hard to read the writing on the wall in the ‘Emerald City’ at the end of the Yellow Brick Road!

Art Bell’s w6obb, Pizza Punch

Last Saturday night on Coast-to-Coast AM, the very first thing artie did was to announce his new business venture, Art Bell’s Pizza Punch. You can find this stuff for sale at: http://www.artbellspizzapunch.com/index.php (which by the way keeps ‘crashing’).

The new site for this venture looks like someone that has never built a web site before put it together with a WSIWYG editor. It definitely has an ‘amateurish’ feel and look. The colors are poor and ‘dated’. The clip art of a microphone and a UFO certainly perpetuates the Art Bell myths artie liked to perpetuate, and feeds (no pun intended!) the Art Bell crowd.

Apparently, Art Bell feels that he needs to have an additional income, if so; it is too bad he picked this particular business venture to back, partner with, or whatever. (I wonder if Pizza Punch is going to be another Bonnie Crystal kq6xa, venture; one of his so-called friends talking him into investing oodles into some barely viable enterprise.)

You can walk into any good Pizza or Sub Sandwich Shop and find a shaker bottle of seasoned Olive Oil to use on your food, not exactly a new or different idea! Perhaps Art Bell’s recent online sales venture just goes to prove how isolated from reality he is.

Anyone with half a brain would realize that they could buy their own, brand name, Olive Oil at any market and add their own seasonings for about $7.99 for a 19-ounce bottle, or about .47 cents per ounce. Art Bell’s Pizza Punch on the other hand, goes for $4.59 (+ shipping?) per 5-ounce bottle, or about .92 cents per ounce. How stupid does he think his fans are?

Art Bell’s Pizza Punch is actually produced by The Santa Barbara Olive Company http://www.sbolive.com/ (And this web site looks professionally made.) which seems to be owned by Craig Makela and his wife, Cindy. Why a California Company like this would want to associate with Art Bell, is beyond me, must be either a friend or fan of Mr. Bell, or in deep financial trouble and grasping at straws.

Then there are the Art Bell’s Pizza Punch accessories! Overpriced caps, T’s, and aprons! Perhaps he has the Filipino contingent of his ‘extended family’ making these in a back room type environment. Yep, bet that is it, artie needed something to keep the Ruiz women’s hands busy!

The Pizza Punch site is really all about Art Bell. He plays mercilessly on the death of his late wife Ramona throughout the site as a way to sell the product! Including stating that “We will be contributing a percentage of every sale to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, in Ramona’s name”; but at no place does it state exactly HOW MUCH will be donated, meaning that he could get away with ‘donating’ 1/10 of a penny for each sale. And his concern for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation is such that there is not even a link to their site!

Does the man have no morals or class whatsoever?

Art Bell w60bb, More on the ‘Acceptance Speech’

I have now had the chance to listen to this several times. And I have some further observations.

The entire event, introduction, presentation, and ‘acceptance speech’ lasted about 13 minutes and 45 seconds. Of that time, Noory’s intro and the actual ‘presentation’ took up 6 minutes and 45 seconds. Artie spoke less than 6.7 minutes. Obviously, this entire thing was ‘crafted’ to give Noory and Bell equal time!

The ‘Little People’ remark; I cannot believe that he actually thanked ‘Bonnie’ (I assume, artie’s good buddy kq6xa.) for that ‘joke’ that fell like a rock in a lake. I cannot believe he took her suggestion to use it. Obviously, artie has lost his ‘subtle’ humor talents, if he ever had them! Are the 'Little People' supposed to be overjoyed with the fact that artie linked them to grays, the so called 'aliens that arrive in UFO's to abduct people and mutilate animals? Somehow, unless they are 'very little of mind', I think not.

The ‘Ramona, love of my life’ remark; this may very well be true. When is he going to stop beating us all over the head with his so-called grief? As far as I am concerned, any sympathy he deserved following Ramona’s untimely and mysterious death, came to an abrupt stop the minute he contacted Airyn Ruiz on the internet.

The ‘new woman’ remark; at the opening of his ‘speech’ his specific comment was, “And I found this wonderful new woman, seated right down there.” (New Woman? New Woman!!! ) What an insensitive, uncaring, and sexist comment. If he had a new transceiver, he would sure as hell mention the name! It would seem artie can trade-out women like some do cars or houses. He does not even sense that there is something basic, deep down, wrong with this. He did, at the end of his ‘speech’ mention that he was going to take his NEW WIFE (ditto all the above comments), Airyn (pronouncing it as HE prefers to pronounce it), and the expected child, Asia, to Disneyland.

At this point, I do not even know how Art Bell w6obb, can stand himself...

Addendum:

Within hours of posting the above, I saw a television ad for Disneyland promoting a ‘two for one’ deal. Tell me artie is not THAT cheap! This advertisement also made note of the fact that the park had opened in 1955.

My mind then made the leap to wondering how many times artie had gone to Disneyland between 1955, when the park opened and artie was 10 yrs old, till artie turned 39 in 1984 when Airyn Ruiz was born. Yuk! What a sick old man...

Glenn Thurman kn6z, still one more HAM with no ‘class’

Is it just me??? If I were invited to be someone’s guest; I would NEVER video-tape the event or the premises. Nor would I post said video on YouTube!

What is this ‘Cult of the Loop’ mentality? Why does the worship of Art Bell w6obb, only a very MINOR celeb in the grand scheme of things, turn people who otherwise seem to practice socially acceptable behavior, into complete nerds willing to abandon all their culture mores in the blink of an eye?

Why is it that any type of contact, even incidental, with Art Bell w6obb, means common sense and manners go out the window? Have these folks NEVER had contact with celebrities? Don’t they know ‘celebrities’ are just people?

Is Glenn Thurman ‘trailer trash’ as are so many of the HAMS of the Cult, even though he holds some kind of job and lives in a real house? Has he just been hiding it under a thin veneer? Or does ‘trailer trash’ culture and mentality rub off; transfer, with just the barest of personal contact.

Glen claims to be a ‘friend’ of Art Bell, or at least an acquaintance. But what Glenn Thurman kn6z, did by making and publishing these videos proves he is only another fan or stalker. A ‘friend’ would not have done this. A friend would have been concerned with Art Bell’s privacy, and with the ‘trust’ of a personal relationship, no matter the depth or type.

Art Bell w6obb, no matter his OWN shortcomings as a Human Being (and they are many!), graciously supplies, to invited folks, the use of this ‘guest house’ so guests don’t have to pay for a motel room. A ‘guest house’ I may add that he and Ramona spent much time, money, energy on; buying, refurbishing, decorating, and furnishing, so their family and guests would be comfortable when visiting.

And why would Glenn make these videos anyway? It’s not like its ‘new’ material. Art Bell has posted in numerous places, on numerous occasions, pictures of his own digs, and of the ‘Guest House’, of which he is rightfully proud.

No, the ONLY reason for Glen Thurman to do this is to show his own presence at artie’s digs. To prove he’d been invited; to jockey for position in the ‘Cult of the Loop’ hierarchy. And because he has no ‘class’.

Art Bell w6obb, and severe weather!

I wonder if anyone else has made the connection?

He moves to Manila, a volcano erupts and threatens to blow big time within 150 miles of his fancy condo. Then super typhoon after super typhoon lashes the Philippines. As he is literally leaving, while in the air, an earthquake hits, damaging internet and phone lines under the ocean. He would not have been able to 'do' Coast to Coast AM for several weeks!

Right after he returns to Pahrump, NV, winds and extreme cold hits. Again, power is 'hit' and he's not going to be able to 'do' Coast to Coast AM this week end.

You know what? I wouldn't want to live with in a hundred miles of the guy. I think Ramona is out to get him; he can't run and he can't hide. Ramona Bell will eventually succeed...

Regrets? Art Bell w6obb, May Have a Few...

On Coast to Coast AM Sunday night, 12.10.06, in his opening remarks artie seemed to (for the first time) express some regret for his actions since Ramona Bell died. He spoke highly and sadly of Ramona, instead of his usual comments that feature only Manila and Ramona’s replacement, Airyn Bell.

Art Bell said he had an (another?) epiphany! That man has epiphanies more often than the rest of us have coffee. And they are about as insightful as a pane of frosted glass...

This one was all about how he COULD HAVE made a horrible mistake by going to the Far East and getting remarried. Could have?

He offers us the advice to not make ANY major decisions for at least a year after losing a loved one. He does NOT expand on why he did not follow that same advice himself; advice that was given to him by so very many of his former friends and acquaintances. (I say former, because he dropped all his year’s-long friends, truly like hot potatoes, to chase after a piece of young tail and to get out of the country.)

Art Bell claims to have ‘been in a fog, a trance’ and suffering depression off and on after Ramona died. He claimed that in his grief, he ‘latched onto’ Airyn. Therefore, artie doesn’t state, but he seems to imply, that the self-diagnosed fog and depression kept him from acting in a sane manner. Yessss, sane like a fox.

One can’t help wondering just what world artie’s been living on for the past sixty years, if he has not heard, read, been told this advice before. Perhaps he was out of his body or time traveling whenever this concept was presented in a book, magazine or on television. If nothing else, you’d have thought the ‘grays’ would have communicated this basic concept to him!

Not making ANY big decisions after a major happening in your life (death, divorce, birth, marriage, illness, etc) is a well known ‘coping technique’ that he chose to ignore as he busily planned for his ‘new’ life.

If he’s not had anyone close to him die before now, surely he’s had friends that he’s seen, helped get through this grief process? No, on second thought, perhaps not, as I don’t think artie has ever actually been/had a real friend in his entire life. I think that everything artie does, including friends and other relationships, are just part of his ‘performance’. As were last night’s ‘admissions’.

Art Bell said that he even bought wedding rings for himself and Airyn Bell that were almost exact duplicates of the ones he and Ramona had. Now if he didn’t realize by that, how SICK the entire situation was, I don’t know what it would take.

This particular epiphany seemed to be triggered by Carl Richardson kb5fjx, now artie’s brother-in-law, returning to the Philippines to retrieve his wife and RETURN to the good ole USA. (Wonder if the two men, who have so very much in common, had a good visit?). So it would seem, though unstated, that artie was homesick.

Artie ended up by claiming that he was so very, very lucky that it had all worked out so well for him. He has a wonderful wife that he loves very much (like a wife or like a child?), and a baby on the way.

I don’t buy any of it! He’s just setting everyone up once again!

I don’t think this move or marriage is working out as well for artie as he had planned. I don’t think Airyn contacted HIM first, but that he contacted her far before Ramona died. I don’t think he loves Airyn, any more than he would love a housekeeper or cook that would supply his daily needs. I don’t know that he’s capable of loving anyone except himself. I think the only ‘trance’ he was in after Ramona died, was produced from his own guilt at letting her die.

I do think that artie will be returning to the US, sooner rather than later. And in the process I hope Airyn, and her poverty stricken, third world family takes him for every penny he has, no doubt she’s earned it! And once he gets back in the states, I hope Ramona’s family files a civil, negligent death suit for whatever is left!

And shame on anyone that’s pulled into artie’s web of lies still one more time.

O.J. Simpson and Art Bell w6obb?

Today’s news is that O. J. Simpson has a new book out "If I Did It," published by ReganBooks, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. In this book, he apparently tells how he WOULD have murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles, over a decade ago, in 1994.

As if that isn’t outrageous enough, there is a two-part television interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," which will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29 on Fox. (Yes, I’ll probably be watching!)

What I’m wondering is if we will see a similar book from Art Bell w6obb, in about 10 years or so? He has books ghost written, he likes to be in the lime-light, and he likes to make oodles and oodles of money.

Such a book is not as far fetched as might be thought. Perhaps he will title it: How I set my Wife up for a Fatal Asthma Attack or I like very young Asian women!

The difference being that O. J. Simpson stood trial and was found ‘not guilty’. No charges have been brought against Art Bell. Though of course, we have no idea of what the Nevada District Attorney’s office might like to discuss, if anything, with artie.

After all, the Unites States DOES have an extradition treaty with the Philippines. So if the state of Nevada, really wanted him, they could get him. Though I do not think there is any ‘time limit’ on murder charges and they may just be ‘biding their time’.

However, they may be time limitations on civil litigation, should Ramona’s family wish to pursue a ‘negligent death’ lawsuit. And they should...

Emergencies

Last Saturday night, on the Coast to Coast AM show, when Art Bell announced Airyn’s pregnancy, another of his statements caught my attention.

Art Bell said, (referring to his current wife Airyn Bell) and I quote “and she actually had a little bit of a problem. I rushed her over to the (unintelligible) Medical Center. They did an ultrasound. And she’s been taking it easy since then.”

Now, you can check an audio clip of this yourself. But that is what he said, word for word, on broadcast radio on October 7, 2006.

So apparently Art Bell IS capable of recognizing an emergency. He is 61 and has those years of adult experience. He was once a trained Medic in the Air Force. He worked as a 911 dispatcher at one time.

So the question is: Why didn’t Art Bell rush RAMONA to an Emergency Room when she was dying?? Just hours before Ramona’s death, they’d driven through Las Vegas; he could have sought help for her from any number of hospitals there. Or at least found an RV camp close to Vegas, knowing she was ill, rather than driving on to an isolated camp in a small community.

Art Bell taking his new wife, who was experiencing a non-life threatening emergency, to a hospital, and ignoring his first wife, Ramona, who was having a life threatening emergency, and indeed died, smacks to me of choice, perhaps even conscious choice.

Art Bell wants young, child like, Philippine’s born, and probably servile, Airyn to live (and retain her pregnancy).

He obviously didn’t want Ramona to continue to live, or he would have ‘rushed her’ to a hospital (as he did Airyn). Had he wanted Ramona to live, he would have sought immediate medical attention for her. He wouldn’t have had an asthmatic out roving around dusty desert roads in an RV while she was having symptoms of her disease in the first place.

I would hope to see criminal charges filed by the state of Nevada brought against Art Bell, the moment he steps foot back in this country, (and he will), at least negligent homicide. (Do we have ‘extradition’ agreements with the Philippines?) At the very least, I would like to see Ramona’s remaining family file civil suit for wrongful death, and I would think they could do that no matter in what country he was hiding.

I admit, I've held these views since the day Ramona died, have shared them privately only with a few others. I have been waiting for Art Bell to 'make a mistake, a slip' before I said anything publically; I think last week end, he did just that...

I was right!

Tonight on Coast-to-Coast AM, Art Bell w6obb announced that he has been in the Philippines courting and marrying a YOUNG woman who is the sister of the woman Carl kb5fjx was wooing over the internet. And that Carl had introduced the two via email, and that he’d paid Carl’s way. (Does this make Carl a pimp?)

Art Bell w60bb also announced that all properties and vehicles in Pahrump NV (except KNYE) are up for sale because he is moving to the Philippines (He says his new Bride does not want to come to America. Yea, right.). The five cats he was so in love with – up for adoption, one already on the way to AK.

His radio program? He says he will continue doing his ‘week-end’ shift from Manila. Though my guess is, he just figuratively cut the throat of his broadcast career, and his fan base. (In fact, I have heard it in George Noory’s voice whenever he has mentioned Art during the last two weeks.)

All this less than 4 months after the death of his wife of 15 years, Ramona, that he loved so much! As he bemoaned her loss on broadcast radio, and literally cried over her loss and a country full of his fans mourned with and for him.

I have never thought much of Art Bell as a person, his morals, or his values; which is why I was able to predict this current event. Yet, I have admired and enjoyed his on air persona for many years.

Usually I enjoy being right, as I often am. But the above, makes me want to puke. However, it does prove a couple of things. There is no fool like an old fool, money can buy you love, and evvy is usually right!

Ramona Bell, Art Bell's wife, passed away in her sleep today in the Bell RV in Laughlin NV. Ramona Bell was 47. There was no information on cause of death.
