The Day After Tomorrow

From this week's TV Guide (Cox Edition 7/17 - 7/23/05):

Global warming triggers an ice age in this disaster flick staring Dennis Quaid. Spectacular effects prop up a cheesy script.

Uhhh, did artie write that 'cheesy' script???

No, but The Internet Movie Database has this to say at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319262/trivia:

"Director Roland Emmerich read 'The Coming Global Superstorm', a non-fiction novel by Art Bell and Whitley Strieber, before he began writing for this film. Emmerich concedes that while the events portrayed in the film are indeed possible, the timeframe over which they take place is implausibly short and was tailored for sheer entertainment value."

IMDB also has a page on Art at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0068039/bio.
