Hollingsworth’s Recent Announcement
Riley Hollingsworth, Special Counsel for the FCC's Enforcement Bureau, has decided not to retire http://www.arrl.org/?artid=7813
And just why would this be of interest to readers of The HamFanz Grudge Report?
Because Hollingsworth said, "After spending the entire weekend thinking about the decision [to retire], it became more and more clear to me that it just isn't the right decision for me right now. There are several issues on the table that I want to continue to work through with the amateur community."
(Wow, he thought this through for an entire weekend? )
Could this be a reference to Bill Crowell w6wbj, and/or Steve Wingate k6txh who both have FCC issues pending?
Perhaps. But the REAL question is: What kind of ‘perk’ or how much did Art Bell w6obb PAY Hollingsworth to stay and deal with these ‘problems’???
Perfect timing also, as he announced this the day before Halloween, proving once again that many (not all!) Hams do not need a spooky costume, as they already have two faces!

He may be taking time to strategize; how to unwind the legal mess that he's created.
"Gee, re-testing hams really doesn't seem to work as a matter of policy, so now I rely on emails and recordings to support claims of alleged misconduct. So, how can I fix this case load now, without further damage to my professional reputation?"
Can't help you there, sport.
I hope Riley nails those two miserable miscreants to the wall of pain for all enternity. Anything less is unacceptable. Call me if you need help Riley, you got my cell.
Don't know what the gripe is, I think Riley has been doing a good job, no, a hell-of-a-job. I've been licensed over 45 yrs and have never had a problem with the Candy Company(the ARRL, well that's a different story). Most of our problems over the last 40 years are from what the ARRL asks the FCC to do. With all the crap going on in the either these days, there should be a hell of a lot more enforcement going on.
Yup, Riley is an A-1 Enforcer, dat's fo sure! I'm nightly jammer, tape player, noise maker and general pain-in-the-arse and nobody, and I mean nobody has ever once knocked on my door and told me to stop. So screw all you licensed hams cuz I ain't going away anytime soon thanks to Riley Hollingsworth, in fact I just picked up a new 3-holer that will be on the air by this weekend on the left coast and the dial set to 3740, 3810 and anywhere else I damn please!
