What is with 3840Hams?
First of all, are they going to ‘rename’ this site to 3720Hams? Most of the major players that used to hang on 3840 seem to have migrated to the new Elite frequency.
What about that ‘signature logo’, you know the one, showing all the used to be 3.840 participants on a computer screen? Again, many of those Hams are now to be found on 3.720 with regularity Including Steve Wingate k6txh!
The picture slots! What is going on with the picture slots? Seems like the only pics that get changed (other than Bill Crowell w6wbj, who changes his offerings often) are the ones POSTED by Steve, including OLD pics of ki6gu, n6edv, etc. My guess would be that Steve does not want everyone to know how many Hams have jumped ship. The pic situation is so dire that Bill Houlne wb6bnq has even posted a common internet/postcard image of the Coronado Bridge to fill empty spaces – wb6bnq has never occupied a pic slot on 3840Hams.
For a couple of weeks every time you opened 3840Hams, there was ‘software’ you could download so you could view some type of ‘Steve Flying’ video. (Well, hell, we can HEAR him doing that any night of the week!). Yea, right, like I would trust a ‘software’ download offered by k6txh and wb6bnq?
Then there is the ‘chat room’; they have a chat room. With much fanfare, they install a NEW chat client (that does not work), so they re-install the OLD chat until they can get the ‘new’ one to work. Now there are TWO chat clients.
Why in the world would a ‘sinking’ (stinking?) site like 3840Hams PAY for a new chat client? Well the answer to this one should be obvious to all; wb6bnq, who has been the silent, co-conspirator of this site since day one, wants more behind the scene power! (Come on, you did not really think that Steve in his 20 hour a day altered state, RUNS 3840Hams, did you?). Once this ‘new chat client is up and running, do be careful, as Bill Houlne probably has it configured to collect all kinds of interesting information about you! (Not to mention the ‘banning’ and ‘allowing access to begin with’ features.)
Steve, do us ALL a favor, put something interesting on the site (like a copy of your reply to the FCC), ‘fire’ wb6bnq as your ‘webmaster’, or shut the site down...

WB6BNQ = triple douchebag, and a ROFLMAO on Steve's "altered state"!
Evvy, you've got your finger on the pulse of Ham Radio. Thing is, BNQ and his wild-haired sidekick from Eureka have already flatlined.

3840 is dead. I put long hours and money in my website and now it's 3720 most every one is on. KI6GU, Jim said many, many times that, He (too paraphrase) Said 'Why change frequencies.' I have no respect or trust for anyone anymore, except N7JS.

Jesus Evvy,
You got a curly wrapped around something ? What is with all the vile and contentious commentary ?
Again, you are off the mark ! All of the picture slots are being used by the respective owners of those slots. Yes, including me and your beloved Art Bell !
Do you want a picture slot ? Maybe I can arrange it for you. Yes Steve has a rather low opinion of you, but I think I can get him to agree.
The picture I have for a QSL card may very well be around the Internet by now, but I acquired it from an original scan of the negative quite a few years ago. So what ? How does the fact that it may be all over the Internet by now have anything to do with it being the background of my QSL card ?
As for the video software, you should check it out. It can be download for free.
I love it, “silent co-conspirator.” Thanks for the title, I didn’t have one before. Lets face it, you are twisted over the fact that you got banned from Steve’s site (by Steve) because you were just phishing (Internet spelling) for people to go to your chat room. Steve actually felt sorry for you and took you off so you would not make yourself look foolish. Really ! It was an act of kindness on Steve’s part.
Not that we need to explain ourselves to you, but out of kindness, once again, I will tell you why the new software is being considered. It has more to do with some extra features; like private chat between users, the ability to play sounds, multiple rooms, customizing fonts and colors, add our own emoticons, audio & visual message notifications, user is typing indicator, customized event sounds to name just a few. Is there some issues, like with all new items, of course. Nevertheless, if we can get them ironed out it will be a better board.
As for collecting “information,” well, I would expect such a comment from a FF forum member and long time Coast-to-Coast listener. No, sorry, neither me nor Steve gives a damn about people’s information, save for banning them if they are really abusive or trolling. If you recall, you were trolling and never did join into any of the discussions on the chat room.
I noticed you signed in on the new chat room. By the way, you have not been banned on the new chat software. Mostly we are just evaluating this software and don’t care right now I even suggested letting your entry ride and see if you had any intentions to be more friendly and less contentious. However, the likelihood is, if you keep copping an attitude, Steve will get to it.
‘sinking’ (stinking?) site ? ? From my point of view I do not see where the site is sinking or stinking. Again, the respective owners are actively using all the picture slots and we do have activity on the chat room every day. Something your chat room does not have. Like Rev. Jim said, it sounds like sour grapes.
AH ! Rene, a.k.a. Tex Holloran, you are a true redneck hillbilly. Do you want me to give them your call Randy or do you want to do that ?
Eddie, I understand where your coming from but the change was necessary as some hillbilly Cbers moved in and the neighborhood went down hill. Actually, I suggested moving to 3720. For that I apologize.
Bill....WB6BNQ

But what about Kd7BCW's new rock band? And what about KI6GU modeling himself on K4LIB (SK)? Evvy, Stevie's site is the ONLY PLACE where we can discuss these critically-important issues!

Not so, my dear jammer! HamFanz Chat is not only up and running, but is unmonitered by bnq! And all are welcome.
NO one is currently banned (all prior 30 day bans have run their course).
The HamFanz chat rules are simple and posted, unlike Steve's chat (and bnq'a whims). So everyone has wide and liberal boundries!
In fact, I seldom read anything on Steve's chat that couldn't be posted on HamFanz Chat, the exception being the porn links!
I expect we will be seeing a LOT more of you, Billy, when Steve's new chat software goes live! Or when Steve's site comes tumbling down...

I would say there may be some truth in this. However I would say it reflects the same condition that manifests itself at the Hamcams site as well. At first, the user rotates their images, it's new and interesting. But as time goes on, it becomes repetitive and then becomes a chore. Or, a thing called life gets in the way (work, household chores, socializing with friends). I used to have a Hamcams slot some time ago, but no matter how often I changed my images I kept getting bumped further down the list. Eventually I asked Paul to remove my image link.
Here just recently I acquired a slot on 3840hams after taking a year long hiatus since Trish ran the site. I may not have the time and energy Billy and the others put into their images, but I'll try to keep things interesting.
Bill, ARRL headquarters has been alerted to the chatroom irregularities. Multiple data packets have been successfully traced. The pods have identified a rogue server located in the Sacramento Valley. FCC will be contacting you shortly.
I am so tired of Billy and Steve jamming, why won't the FCC do something? What is wrong with these two people? Don't they have girlfriends or family? I'm ready to sell all my equipment and go back to CB where believe it or not, people are far more polite.

For Christ sake dude, it's NOT Billy or Steve that's doing the jamming. Most of them are just a bunch of retards that are too fucking stupid to get a license, have licenses and have nothing else better to do than jam the frequency or are a bunch of CB rejects from the 435 machine. Weather or not you agree with Steve or Billy's operating practices is irrelevant, the problem is the jammers will follow no matter what frequency is being used. I can tell you this, at least in my neck of the woods, a jammers on air time is very short lived. We simply don't put up with that kind of shit out here.
Weather is not an issue in my neck of the woods, either. The climate here is actually very good.
Hey! Hey! Hey! We need to stir the pot on this blog. Have you look at Artie lately on hamcam? Seems he is on an Alaskan cruise. Wonder if he took Carl with him? 73 and good dx.
Billy and Steve are not jamming? Are you nutz? Those two are the main players who nightly play music, old recordings, strange noises and more. And Riley Hollingsworthless just bends over and grabs his ankles as Steve and Billy take turms making him squeal. Ho Ho Ho...ham radio is dead people, dead, gone, over, ka-put. Give it up!

Then perhaps you would like to produce evidence to back up your claims. HAM radio is FAR from dead, the bands are very active being that we're in the bottom of the sun spot cycle. Besides, I'll never take your comments seriously till you either produce a valid call sign or quit hiding behind the keyboard as anonymous.
